I doubt the estate tax ever affected the ultra-rich anyway, because they’re smart enough to insulate themselves with foundations and such that prevent them from paying probably any tax at all. The Ford Foundation is a good example of that.

I meant to add that the estate tax seems squarely aimed at small businesspeople, maybe to reduce future competition with the ultra-rich.

And that is why California is doomed. Those fools were applauding every leftist lie as if they believed that taking money from grieving orphans and widows would ssomehow benefit them. All that haopens is the the criminal enterprise known as the State will confiscate the wealth from workers to line their own pockets and to buy power for themselves. Californians are like cabs. Put one in a bucket and it will climb out; put two crabs in the same bucket and they will spend all their time pulling the other crab back that neither gets out!

I never knew that about the crabs, is that true? if so that would be a better mantle than the jackass for the dem party. “The dem party putting equality above all else so no one gets ahead” would be a great campaign slogan

Why anyone would have their legal residence in California is beyond me.  Legal thievery.
