GOP Raffling Off Glock In Giffords’s District

The Pima County Republican Party is raffling off a Glock 23 handgun to raise money for get out the vote efforts in the district where a Glock was used last winter to kill six people and wound Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.).

Arizona has a strong gun culture — Giffords herself owns a Glock and told the New York Times last year that she was a “pretty good shot.” But, in light of the shootings, it’s curious why the local GOP decided to risk opening itself up to charges of insensitivity on the issue.

Raffle tickets are on sale this week for $10. The Pima County GOP will conduct the raffle at the first event it has after the 125 tickets are sold out. They did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

    Ok, raffle off basketball tickets… oh, wait… I once knew a guy that died at a basketball game…  How insensitive.
    It’s a gun loving area, its a gun loving political party, and even Giffords owns a Glock.  It’s not insensitivity, its what people would be willing to chuck up $10 for a raffle ticket for a chance to win.

    This has been a dubious story for the last few weeks.

    What they aren’t willing to tell their readers is that this is part of a yearly pre-scheduled event that involves a gun shoot, as well – the lefties and MSM keep trying to spin it, split hairs and just flat-out lie about the true nature of the event.

      He might be a SOCOM Operator in A-Stan, where the photo may have been taken.

      In A-Stan a man who doesn’t wear a beard is assumed to be Gay, not a good thing in A-Stan.
