New Feature: 2012 Elections Political Analysis & Opinion Series Part 1 – ‘Sarah Palin Can Save This Republic’ Via Town Hall

September 26th, 2011 (10) Posted By bear.

This is a new feature that we intend to bring you on a regular basis in order for you to have access to reasoned and sound political analysis on the announced and perspective candidates for the 2012 presidential elections which go beyond the liberal-leaning headlines of the Main Stream Media. Our hopes are that in 2012 American voters will be better informed on the important issues of our times unlike in 2008. You need to know the real story behind the MSM headline fodder. Your comments and thoughts on these posts are welcome.

TownHall:

I am a conservative, which means that I believe in fiscal responsibility, free markets, personal responsibility and the Constitution.

When the voting choices are between a Democrat and a Republican, the choice is easy.

I vote Republican because that gives me better odds that my candidate will be fiscally responsible and loyal to the Republic.

I don’t even know what a fiscally conservative Democrat looks like.

But then again there are other people who vote Republican who bear no philosophical resemblance to me.

They think that it’s okay to kill babies without restraint, raise taxes and grow government. I don’t know why they call themselves Republicans, because their philosophies do not even remotely mirror the Republican Party platform.

But I trust, like me, they want to save the Republic.

As a citizen activist and a voter, I see it as the only job right now is for everyone to help save the Republic from socialism and fiscal destruction, which by the way, always go hand-in-hand.

That’s why I want a presidential candidate who has no history of cozying up to terrorists; nor do I want a candidate friendly with religions and countries which do not denounce terrorists; or who allow illegal immigrants to come here; or those that support socialist policies.

For me that means I must omit Chris Christie, Ron Paul, Rick Perry and Mitt Romney from receiving my support. That’s the way I roll, to save the Republic.

I’m wary of supporting ANYONE hyped by the MSM, because they think their job is to promote the biggest RINO among the field.

No doubt, the MSM wants a Democrat to win. And just as they promoted John McCain, to the shock and horror of my fellow conservatives, they will again promote somebody whose policies bear no resemblance to conservative policies.

And then they will refer to that person as a “conservative,” which really galls me, because the public is unfortunately gullible enough to believe that somebody is conservative simply because the MSM says so.

The MSM will keep its distance from or attack any truly conservative candidate who can stand firmly on their record, because the true conservative stands a much, much better chance of winning a presidential election than a RINO.

That’s why I want to see Sarah Palin run.

Sarah Palin’s record in Alaska shows her to be the bravest, most effective executive I’ve ever seen. She accomplished incredible feats as Governor and united Democrats and Republicans in order to succeed with projects which brought great prosperity to her state.

She swept the Capitol clean of traditional political corruption and cronyism in situations where typical politicians wouldn’t dare risk their political capital and financial support by rocking the boat.

Sarah Palin scares people. And that’s good.

I can understand why she’d scare politicians, especially when entering a federal government completely taken over by Chicago-style thugs.

But in my opinion the liberal fear of Sarah Palin is incredibly silly.

Yes, yes, I know they’re terrified that she’ll force them to have Down Syndrome babies, like she did. She chose life.

And so what they are really afraid of is that Palin stands for things and lives by them; things that they can’t comprehend and it scares them.

We are at a crossroads in America, where the single most important issue is saving America from a socialist train wreck.

Listen carefully:

If we do not elect a fiscal conservative in November 2012 who will dramatically rein in debt and spending, remove onerous business regulations and decrease corporate taxes, your concerns over issues like abortion will be moot, because in socialist governments, your opinion does not count.

If we save the Republic, you still get to fight over issues. If we lose the Republic, your government will tell you EXACTLY what you can and cannot do with your reproductive system, money, cars, houses, kids, health.

You want everybody to have abortions? Then you need to save the Republic first.

You want nobody to have abortions? Then you need to save the Republic first.

You want to save the Republic?

Elect somebody who has already saved her state: Sarah Palin.

Excellent point. No Republic, No choice, No chance.

Even knowing any one of them would be better than the Kenyan, I’m disappointed by each of the current GOP candidates, and not enthusiastic about Christie.  I can see each of them able to contribute greatly in a cabinet role, however.

Sarah Palin has it all, I believe, to do the job right.  She’s been thoroughly vetted as to her conservative credentials, and has continued to grow in political astuteness.

However, I believe also that Sarah’s greatest challenge to election is not the Liberals and MSM, but rather the RINOS currently entrenched in the Republican party.  Basically, the RINOS and Liberals share the same philosophy: “Fuck America, fuck the Constitution. I want to be rich and force people to follow my rules”.

It may be that it is just as important which of the GOP candidates win the presidency as it is to purge the legislature of RINOs.  And, of course, we can’t forget the thousands (millions?) of unelected State and Federal ”public” employees, the not-so-civil employees who run the day-to-day business of government.  Imagine all the socialist, communist America-haters the Kenyan has put into place already.  I just hope there are still enough America-lovers to offset them

While I applaud the conservative direction of Sarah Palin and the Tea Party I must note that both parties (Democrat and Republican) are populated by large numbers of people who are willing to cede their independence to a strong central government.  This is as far from the founder’s beliefs as it can be.  Their idea was a central government limited in power that served as a unifying force for matters of foreign policy and arbiter of relations between or among the states.

The concept of a strong central government supreme to the powers of the states was actually strengthened during the events leading up to and the fighting of the Civil War.  Those who believe the hogwash taught in schools today that the purpose of the Civil War was to free the slaves are grossly misinformed.

The crux of the civil war was the right of states to determine their own laws on matters not specified in the Constitution.  They choose to leave the union rather than loose their way of life through political action of the majority of the other states.  This reminds me of the old saying that democracy is a discussion about the dinner menu conducted by three wolves and a sheep ending in “let’s vote on it”.

The political party known as the Republicans does not represent the core beliefs of the founders on the important issue of states rights and the ultimate rights of the individual citizen.  While I am not ready to cast my lot with the Libertarians or the Paulnuts, I would like to see a clear statement in support of states rights from the GOP.

      Well said, AFIT.

If any of the current candidates have said to the American people, as Sarah (and others) did in the 2008 election, that “I want you to hire me.  I want to work for you”, I have not heard it.  Perhaps the candidates and indeed many of the electorate feel this is hokey and beneath a candidate.  When in fact it is the very essence of our Republic.  Your note that some people would prefer a monarchy is spot on.  Just listen to the Kenyan bemoan the constitutional necessity that Congress makes the laws, not him.  And hear the MSM squeaking about how bold and really cool he is for sying it.

It’s become clear to me that every problem facing America today is political, therefore the problems cannot be fixed/solved by a career politician, because career politicians caused the problem and it’s simply not in their skill-set to get the job done.

    That’s why Palin for POTUS.

I’m for Sarah Palin! She is great and has been through the fire. I hope she will run because I will get out and pound the pavement for her to be elected.

I like her.But I think she has hurt herself somewhat with what her critics call “Going Hollywood” It’s BS,but none the less it has taken some of the knives out of her kitchen..With the choke hold the state run MSM now enjoys with the public, they will crucify her and turn the mindless masses, youth, and minorities against her..with the utmost co-operation of the party formerly known as Republican of course…
