speaking of ROE and the whole strategy, i wonder why they dont use good old M113 with anti-RPG cages or some sort of passive/dynamic armor. u see, one or two of them would b great to flank the motherfuckers in a situation like this. and forget IEDs, u’re off road. they cant mine the whole country. soviets used wheeled BTRs only for convoy escort, and tracked BMPs for raids and assault on strongholds, cause it could go off road. an upgraded M113 or a Bradley would fuck some taliban shit up. and why did it took 10 years to get the M1s there. and only two tank platoons at that. for Marines only.
