Alec Baldwin Trashes Ronald Reagan For Ruining Generation Of Americans

Alec Baldwin, who has hinted that he might run for mayor someday, doesn’t have much love for the best-known actor-turned-politician of all: Ronald Reagan.
“He was a failed actor who in my business what happens is you become ripe and you fall from that tree and you go — and he went into this other field because it was a role for him to play,” Baldwin said of the former president. Chatting with Republican strategist Ed Rollins on his new radio show, Baldwin explained why he’s not a fan of the Gipper.
“Reagan seduced a whole generation of Americans into believing, you should have what you want more than they [the underprivileged] should have what they need, and don’t feel guilty about it,” Baldwin said.
Rollins, not surprisingly, disagreed: “I think that’s overstated,” he said. “But I mean, obviously you’re entitled to your point of view.”
