Allen West: It’s Time For Cain To “Move On”

(The Hill) — Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) said Wednesday he would advise Herman Cain to let voters “move on” from the distraction of his campaign.

Cain told his campaign this week it is time to “reassess” in light of the resurfacing of old sexual harassment allegations and new accusations this week that he carried on a 13-year affair.

“Beyond reassessing his campaign, he probably needs to understand that he is a distracter for what’s going on right now and we should move on,” West told WMAL’s radio show “Morning Majority.”

West, a Tea Party favorite, indicated Cain is already out of the running and the GOP nomination field has come down to “a two-man race.”

He named Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich, currently the front-runners in the polls, as the two most likely contenders. West said Romney, who has polled at around 24 percent nationally for months, has “hit a plateau” and called Gingrich, who came up from well behind to become a front-runner within the last few weeks, “very viable” as a candidate.

    LMAO, this is hilarious, I’m getting a bag of popcorn, this is getting entertaining. WHO offered you WHAT Allen? I’m sure we will learn shortly. If you emerge as someone’s “Vice-Pesident” running mate then I will know who to vote against. But you may be smart and wait for a sweet cabinet position.

      So your saying who ever the Repub candidate is and that candidate picked Colonel West as his/her running mate, you’d vote for Obama because of Colonel West?? WTF is wrong with you?       West sides with his fellow Negroes (CBC and voting for Pigford II) when its advantageous for him, I’m just interested in what sweetheart deal was offered to him to betray his race.

    Colonel West is one of the few people in this country that would actually spur me to volunteer for a campaign.  He’s definitely better than any selection the GOP has right now.

    I think Herman should keep running. You can’t let the communist party determine your candidates. If Slick Willy could fornicate his way thru a 30-year political career, so can Herman. One thing we know for sure: the communists are terrified of a conservative black American. I have other issues with Herman, but he is a proven, successful businessman, NOT a politician. We need his input.
