Entitled “Answering the Attacks,” the page includes links to 16 different topics that could be used against Gingrich.

“Now that our campaign to rebuild the America we love is gaining momentum, those who want to see us fail are on the attack, digging through Newt’s past to try and stop us,” the page states.

The issues range from his statement on Paul Ryan’s Medicare plan to his work for Freddie Mac to his multiple marriages. But this is just a start.

“See an attack that is not answered?” reads the page. “Let us know here. This page will grow as we receive more feedback to help you answer the attacks.”

The creation of such a clearinghouse indicates that Gingrich’s resurgent campaign is serious and that he and his aides hope to avoid a repeat of this week’s defensiveness over Bloomberg’s Freddie Mac story. One can easily see Gingrich simply citing this page as a blanket, “we’ve-answered-that” response to future inquiries. But the sheer volume of issues, and anticipation that more will come, is a reminder of the difficulty the former speaker could have as the glare grows more intense in the weeks ahead.
