Obama Can’t Pronounce Khe Sanh

White House Dossier:

It spooks you a little when the commander in chief doesn’t seem to know much about military history, or the military itself. [...]

How do you, especially if you are running our armed forces, not recognize Khe Sanh and know how to pronounce it? Goodness, you need only have listened to Bruce Springsteen’s anti-America diatribe, “Born in the USA,” to have known how, since he mentions the Battle of Khe Sanh in the song.

Look at the veterans at the end of the video. They almost look like they’re scratching their heads. “Key-san? Like, ‘I left my keys on the counter?’”

Maybe it’s just me, but this is suspicious. We all know the guy is stump dumb but there’s no fucking way he doesn’t know how to pronounce Khe Sanh. Corpse-man was bad enough but if this is real this little piss-ant is literally retard-level stupid. Mindboggling.

    So how is it pronounced?

    • Dr Jerry

Look it up sandra….and be well advised that the vast majority of the posters on this site can say it correctly with the emphasis it deserves…and you can also bet that the United States Marine Corps remembers those 76 days of mud and blood in 1968…Semper Fi!

I did look it up, and it seems there were two different pronunciations. Maybe there is more than one way to say it. I worked in a hospital where we had many immigrants from Vietnam. The name Nguyen was very common, but you had to ask each family how they pronounced it. There are many words from history that get different pronunciations, e.g., Hiroshima, harassed, etc.
I’m sure the Marines and their families will remember that battle, but in 1968 I wasn’t too involved in that. That was a year with many overwhelming events.

Thanks Doc Jerry! Semper Fi! 76 days Marines were surrounded by MVA division’s firing artillary down on the airfield and combat base killing and injuring many Marines. Air resources from the Air Force and Marine Air provided close air and bombing of MVA hiddden in the surrounding hill and mountain ranges that provided good fields of fire down on the base. It took Marines 76 days to fight their way out of the base. Known in Marine Corps lore as the “Siege At Khe Sanh” As in history between 1967-1968 Marines fought for each other and died for each other just as today’s Marines and soldier’s do. Our school’s do not teach history anymore. Here is a good histroy lesson for you Sandy..Obama owes it to everyone who fought and died there to pronounce Kae Sanh the correct way. Of course, what do you expect from an anti America hating President.
