I wonder if the child has Prader-Willi syndrome. If he does, the simple more exercise portion control program won’t work. In a hospital where I worked, the nursing staff was not informed of the syndrome’s complication. They were surprised to find their patient in the nurse’s break room eating pizza out of the garbage can. Many parents cannot handle this, and they need special intensive training.
