Saboteurs Blow Up Egyptian Pipeline to Israel; Third Time This Year

CAIRO (Reuters) – Saboteurs blew up Egypt’s gas pipeline to Jordan and Israel on Monday, witnesses and security sources said, a few hours before the country holds its first free election since President Hosni Mubarak was toppled in February.

The explosion was set off west of al-Arish in Sinai, witnesses said.

Security forces and fire trucks raced to the scene.

    on other news, US has agreed to sell to Egypt an assemply parts for 125 M1 Abrams tanks. so now Egyptian army will have about 1150 M1 tanks, plus the existing 500 of T55s, 500 T62s, 40 T80, a bunch of US modified T55s – the Ramses II, and about 1400 M60 Pattons. thats a lot of tanks to kill or stop.
