Did they ever think that maybe there weren’t any other symbols to take down? Is the faith of the Christian soldiers so delicate that they can’t carry their own crosses for inspirations? What were the messages that were being included in the Toys for Tots gifts?

Statement of fact, on evidence presented in the comment of the first instance.

Yo, eKleKtiK, Over 3/4 of US Military personnel are Christians. That adds up to appox. 1.6 million troops. There are less than 10,000 Muslims serving. Guaranteed that if the Islamic Star and Crescent was displayed on that chapel, it would still be there, in spite of any complaints.  This is a direct attack on Chrisitianity.

BTW, the symolism of the cross is simple and should be respected by all religions. The horizontal bar of the cross represents the material, or physical aspect of life; the vertical symbolizes the spiritual. It is the spirit of God that supports all manifest creation. However, Islam is not a religion, it is a political system intent on forcing all mankind to live under Sharia law. Anyone who does not either submit or convert must be killed.

The Bible is a collection of books written by many authors over a long period of time (centuries) and synthesizes the Word of God and his plans, it contains just 10 commandments. The Qu’ran, on the other hand, was written by one man in one lifetime and is fundamentally a book of commands. Islam is erroneously referred to as the “Religion of Peace.” If you read the Qu’ran, you will see that the suras in the beginning of the book proclaim peaceful, non-violent laws that dictate all aspects of Muslim life. However, as the narrative progresses, the commands become increasingly more violent and filled with hatred, it commands Muslims to lie, cheat, and use any subversive tactic whatsoever in achieving its goals–this includes, of course, killing Infidels. The critical thing to understand about this is that, as instructed in the Qu’ran itself, all early suras (commands) are abrogated by the latter commands. For those of you in Rio Linda, that means the peaceful shit is negated and the Muslim’s duty is to “Kill the Infidel wherever you find him. Fuck Mohammed and the snake that hatched him
      ” Allahoo Snackbar, baby.”

      Onward Christian soldiers!

      Hoo yah!
