TUCSON — The former aide who rushed to help U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords after she was shot last January is supporting the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.

Daniel Hernandez appears in one of the group’s posters and pledged to light a candle in remembrance of victims of the Tucson mass shooting that killed six people and injured 13 others.

The Brady Campaign says comedian Lewis Black and actor Michael Douglas also will appear in posters and light candles as part of the nationwide effort.

Also joining the effort is Colin Goddard, a survivor of the Virginia Tech shooting in 3007 that killed 32 people and injured 17.
