There’s 33 Senate seats up for grabs next year, 23 of them are now held by Democrats, if the Republicans won 20 of the 23 and held the seats they do now, the Republicans would have a veto-proof majority with 67 seats.
 
Yeah, I know, it’s probably a pipe dream, but consider this; and that is the public backlash when the dollar’s value really sinks next year, sometime between mid-spring and the end of summer. I can’t see very many Democrat politicians surviving that.
 
One more thing, try to get 8 weeks or more of non-perishable food (water too?) stored by the end of this winter.
