TSA Vandalized Fox News Reporter’s Luggage

Fox News Radio host Todd Starnes is blaming agents with the Transportation Security Administration for removing his employer’s logo from his bag and ultimately damaging his luggage as he traveled by air over the holiday weekend.

In a series of messages posted to Twitter, Starnes, the host of the Fox News & Commentary show, said a TSA agent merely told him to “call the government” to get money when he inquired about his damaged bag.

“TSA ripped off my Fox News logo and sliced up my luggage,” Starnes said in one tweet.

A photo tweeted by Starnes shows a black bag with tape wrapped in TSA tape that says, “inspected.”

In another tweet, Starnes said a TSA agent told him “it could take up to 6 months to investigate my bag they destroyed.”

    These ridiculous actions by rogue screeners demonstrate the lack of adequate hiring standards at TSA and do nothing to improve airline safety. They harass and humiliate people with impunity in a charade posing as airline security. In less than a year there have been sixty two TSA screeners charged with serious crimes including ten for child sex crimes, four for smuggling and one for murder. They allow 60% of cargo to go unchecked and fail 70% of GAO security tests. This agency is the definition of corrupt and incompetent.

    This agency is out of control and needs to be replaced with one that respects our fundamental human rights. These creeps deserve every bit of criticism they receive and their conduct must be limited by a third party organization charged with the protecting the interests of passengers, not someone who works for TSA.
