Trayvon at 6’4″, 17 years young, and an athlete of noted ability could have easily outrun George the fat man.

They could’ve only come into contact and a fight by Trayvon’s choosing. George was the only one reportedly injured from the hand to hand portion of that fight.

If Trayvon was shot at a distance while fleeing, George belongs in jail.

If Trayvon was shot during that fight, George clearly shot in self-defense.

It doesn’t matter if he was a teen. If this teen presented a danger then the person who shot him was legally standing his ground. The fact is that Trayvon was way bigger than Zimmerman. Trayvon could very easily killed Zimmerman. So if Trayvon attacked Zimmerman than he got just what he deserved.

To avoid the fight that injured George and killed Trayvon.

No matter what brought them to each others’ attention, their coming into actual contact and a physical fight was Trayvon’s choice; because George, though he may have been imprudent or even angry and wanted to catch him, could not have.

From the limited information available I suspect that:
 
George was fed up with the crimes in his community and was suspicious and watching and following Trayvon until he left or arrived at a residence where he was a guest. He may have also asked Trayvon who he was and why he was there.

Trayvon was angered by the suspicion and attacked George.

The fight caused by Trayvon’s attack ended with one bloodied and one dead. Sad and avoidable, but the ultimate choice of contact was Trayvon’s.

Head of Department of Justice, Eric Holder, ignored evidence of Black Panthers who were standing with clubs in-hand, outside polling stations intimidating voters back in 2008. They were never prosecuted.

Answer this: Who appointed Eric Holder to that position?

 Zimmerman was tracking Martin. He had a gun, Martin didn’t. The 911 operator told Zimmerman to hang back and not track.

LOL hey chief.. If your account is real, then the self defense clause does NOT protect Zimmerman and he’s toast. He escalated the situation by following and confronting Trayvon.  That immediately negates the self defense clause. You don’t step to me, get rocked by a punch and then justify pulling out a gun and killing me. 

He’s not a police officer. He has no right to interrogate someone on the street due to suspicions. This is why the dispatcher told him to not follow Trayvon. This is why neighborhood watch advises not to confront suspected criminals. 

So let’s assume Trayvon did attack him like you want to believe so badly. Why didn’t Zimmerman run? How did a 17 year old boy who is outweighed by 100 pounds have this guy so fearful for his life that he pulled out a gun and killed him? If I’m worried about my safety, why am I even approaching a guy I think is up to no good? It makes no sense. 

The guy obviously had an itchy trigger finger and a Charles Bronson complex. He stepped to Trayvon probably in a very belligerent way. Listen to the 911 calls where he says “Fu–ing coons” and “these a-holes always get away”. He INITIATED the first contact. 

How does this in anyway justify killing the boy?

WHere are the “ two black children George invited to a social event”? Why aint they speaking up now? 

At no point did he follow Trayvon? So why did he say he was on the 911 call? 

That’s called checkmate. 

It sounds like the two got into an altercation and Zimmerman may have shot in self-defense at that point. But he shouldn’t have pursued the kid in the first place. It sounds from what I’ve seen of the 911 transcript like George thought the kid was a gangster or something. I guess it’s a lesson that if you think someone is a gansta, call the police and leave. Don’t take it into your own hands. Because you could be tragically wrong.

Take Herman Cain, Allen West or Martin King for example; they don’t look to victimize themselves of their race just to get ahead in life like those despicable blacks you are referring to. Keep in mind, not all reports of crime are reported to FBI’s Uniform Crime Report. Those are simply just current statistics that are NOT permanent. It could change. White people, in the future, could end up being the #1 offenders of the law on the FBI’s UCR. Its not genetic, its a choice of character.

I think, and have for quite a while, that you get tempted to assume all black people are criminal just because there is a high probability that they are committing acts of crime (according to the FBI’s UCR).

There was no slur used, and how the hell anyone determines “coon” to be a racial slur anyways is beyond me. Slang for Raccoon….that is racist now ? Of course it is.

This was not a racial crime to me but it was a crime none the less.  The 911 tape recordings show that Zimmerman did not follow the instructions given to him by the police and instead took the law into his own hands.  In my oppinion, even if Trayvon punched him in the face it did not give Zimmerman the right to use deadly force.  Zimmerman is not only a criminal but a coward as well.  The police in that district also failed to follow protocol from what I have read.  And regardless of what oppinion you may have, the truth of the matter is that if it was Trayvon who had shot Zimmerman, Trayvon would be in jail right now. 

My friend, there are so many things wrong with that comment it’s difficult to even know where to begin. You really need to take the President’s advice and do some serious soul-searching.

Martin’s father said that the screaming on the 911 tape just before the shot WAS NOT his son’s voice. So it was Zimmerman who was screaming as he was being attacked by Martin. And there was a witness who saw Martin punching Zimmerman, who was lying in his back.That said, I’m sorry Martin got shot. Maybe if Zimmerman had some self-defense training before he took on the task of neighborhood watch, deadly force might not have been necessary.

Strauss-Kahn 2!   Here we go again.  The Press and Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson have Mr. Zimmerman guilty before we know what happened.  All of a sudden facts are starting come out.  Mr. Z was bloodied up.  Trayvon was shot in the CHEST – not the back.  Pretty hard to shoot someone is chest if you are chasing him.

Also the picture we see of Trayvon – that is dated.  he is really 6 feet 2 inches tall and plays basketball and football.  Also he was on a 5 day suspension from school.  His family’s attorney had school blocked from releasing details of suspension.

So – a lot of facts are starting to bubble up.  In time we will know what really happened.  Maybe Zimmerman is guilty – maybe he is not.  I just hate the railroading aspect we have now.

In the meantime I am watching for Latinos to wake up and start some rallies to protest against Mr. Z. being railroaded because he happened to shoot a black man.  If Trayvon had been white – there would have been “move on, nothing to see here”

He pursued and the boy with the iced tea and Skittles ended up face-down on the ground, dead, and the man with the 9mm killed him. People are calling for an arrest and investigation. You would be too. This could as easily be your brother, son, nephew.

That “report” was by a FRIEND of Zimmerman who refused to identify himself. Did he make a police or 911 call when he “saw” his friend being pummeled? I look forward to hear from him, under oath, out from behind the curtain on anonymity.

There is no “training” for Neighborhood Watch. We have NW. It informs people coming into the area that we watch out for suspicious activity on each others’ property, and will call police. I’m not going to pretend to know a lot about the topic but after reading these comments that I’ve been reading deeply bother me.  I do agree that white are not the only people that can be racist I think the term should apply to any race.  The problem with this country and with a lot of you people that have posted is that you make such a big deal about race.  You see someone’s skin and you base who they are off what you’ve learned from entertainment, and the media.  I come from a truly mixed family.  I am Hispanic; I was adopted by a white family and I have an adopted sister of black ancestry.  I guess my post is less about the issue at hand and more of the sadness this thread brings me with all these ignorant and bigoted comments.  What happened is truly a sad affair.  It strikes me as odd Zimmerman was “packing” in the first place.  Maybe Trayvon did attack him I won’t rule that out.  However, his life should not have been taken from him.  More investigation needs to be done before I make a judgment.  The issues that should be more of a concern is why this youth was up to no good (if in fact he was) and why was this man packing heat.  You should all feel bad and send your condolences to the family of this young boy.  Regardless of who he was as a person, his family lost someone they loved.  Imagine this was your son, that would change your tune about things now wouldn’t.  Stop making this a race thing because the reason that this country has such a huge race problem is because people on either side make it such an issue.  When I hug my sister or my mother, I don’t see the color of their skin because it doesn’t matter to me because I’d love them anyways.  So what I recommend to each and every one of you is to look in the mirror and tell me what you see and then reflect on some of the things you believe in because maybe now you’ll realize that you are in fact part of the issue. First and foremost we are all human beings.
