Congressman Trent Franks (AZ-02) questioned Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice, Thomas Perez, over whether the Department would commit to not adopting a policy of criminalizing speech that is critical of any religion. Perez refused to commit.
