Since SCOTUS upheld the most important part of Arizona’s immigration law, something very alarming has happened; the United States government has turned its back on one of its own states at the direction of the President himself, while he once again thumbs his nose at the Supreme Court of the United States. Apparently President Obama thinks the pen is mightier than The Constitution, writing executive orders when he doesn’t have the votes to pass a law, and taking away the tools to enforce current laws when he doesn’t like them. At the administrations direction, the Dept. of Homeland Security has rescinded its agreement with Arizona law enforcement agencies to assist in enforcing federal immigration laws. To make it worse, ICE has been instructed not to answer Arizona’s calls. Sorry, nobody’s home.
Obama to Arizona: You’re dead to me. Arizona to Obama: Message received.
How then will Arizona defend its borders? Should they hire and train their own army? And what entities raise armies and defend their borders? Countries do. Sovereign nations. Is that what Arizona is to become to protect its citizens? Must they step out of the shadow of our once protective father who no longer seems to care about the welfare of one of its children? The Obama administration isn’t giving them much of a choice. If this is what must be done, smart money says Texas won’t be far behind. This couldn’t possibly be what the President wants. Or could it?
Look at the current situation in the middle east; no border security, constant inner conflict, infighting and turmoil; just like the President’s relationship with Arizona. Conditions that are ripe for someone (Obama) to step in and lay down the (martial) law. Don’t worry, this is just a temporary suspension of your civil liberties. (Fingers crossed behind back.) It’s for your own good.
Okay, so that’s probably a little over the top. America may have been napping, but as a whole, we’re starting to wake up. We’re still a nation of laws, even if the current administration fails to show them the proper respect. The roar of the Obama faithful has been reduced to a dull hum, and their silence speaks volumes; even with the Supreme Court ruling upholding the Affordable Care Act, you aren’t hearing much gloating. Then again, the largest tax increase in U.S. history is nothing to brag about. Promise made, promise broken. Again. The storm is on the horizon, and they see it coming. Through his own actions, Obama unwittingly seeded the clouds. Many of the Democrat party’s power players are now turning away from the President, several of which have stated that they aren’t even going to the DNC. Seventeen House Dem’s voted to hold AG Holder in contempt of Congress, for the obvious cover-up that went straight to the White House when President Obama claimed Executive Privilege over the documents Holder refused to provide. Others are speaking through their silence. The Oval Office’s misdeeds are not going unnoticed by the American people, and they will not stand.
Hold on Arizona, November is coming. Help is on the way.
