Excerpted from The Jane Dough: This story involves one extremely confused meteorologist and an anchorman who clearly never learned the definition of the word “canoodle.”
During a newscast in Canada, a local interest story included the word “canoodle” — from the video of this blooper it’s not entirely clear why “canoodle” came up, but it did. And the anchorman on the program, tasked with transitioning from the aforementioned segment to the local weather, decided he’d be cute and ask his female colleague, live and on the air, if she’d like to “canoodle” with him. The problem? He thought “canoodle” meant chat. It does not. At all.
