“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” – Thomas Jefferson
To be clear, we are not calling for a violent uprising. But we are calling for a legal, civil disobedience uprising, designed to lead to the termination of the present regime. In advance of further, specific details which we are developing, here is a brief, broad outline that sets the table, Peter Ackerman’s summary of the essentials of successful modern revolutions:
Any civil resistance movement must have three ingredients to succeed: unification around a vision for the future, in most cases a constitutional democracy, and a leadership for the transition period; a diverse set of nonviolent tactics that cause significant disruption to the prevalent order; and planning on how to sequence those tactics to maximize effect so that the military and the regime are split.
This is not about nullifying a lost election. This is about nullifying the intolerable, America-killing consequences of that election, before they happen.
