Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) said “the president is part of the sequester” and “the White House recommended it, frankly.”

His remarks come at a time when the White House and Republicans are arguing about who deserves blame for the cuts.
Despite admitting the White House was involved in creating sequestration, Baucus says “I don’t want to say the President is solely to blame. He’s not.” Congress, he says, shares responsibility.
